Who Are You?
9:26 am - February 21, 2010 | Posted By Linda in Linda's Daily Stuff, Spiritual Health and ConsciousnessIf someone were to ask you this question: “Who Are You?”
What would your answer sound like?
“I’m Bob, I’m a lawyer/doctor/banker/director of so-and-so company…” or
“I’m Lily, I’m a mother of 3, married for 5 years…” or
“I’m a multi-billionare living in a castle in Hollywood/I’m the wife of so-and-so” or
Minus away the social identities, family responsibilities, ego identities, emotional bodies, predicaments and encounters etc, what is left behind?
Do you know why they say that the eyes are the windows to our souls?
I think the person who first said this puts it pretty aptly. The eyes are indeed, openings into the core being which inter-connects all life.
When you stand in a crowded hall, and your eyes are looking elsewhere. When your gaze meets another person who is also gazing into your eyes, you feel a connection. You know distinctly that you both are looking at each other, into each others’ eyes. This is the connection between souls.
And what does that make you and me?
Spiritual beings, or in Science, we are bodies of energy. This energy can be measured in terms of vibration.
We are Spirit Beings, borrowing this body for a finite period of Earth years, making a journey through this Life.
What is the difference between me and you, or me and a less fortunate physically disabled person?
In my opinion, the only difference is that we each have chosen different lessons to learn, different experiences to go through, and we bring with us our individual special unique talents and gifts to deliver.
What then, does being alive mean?
As long as we are breathing alive and present on this Earth, there is something for us to do; a message for us to deliver perhaps, or a gift or value-add to bring forth to our common folks to better their lives.
Regardless of what we are born with, where we are born, how we look and how much money we have, we all have one common objective in Life - and that is to fulfill what we have chosen to come here to do.
And until an individual discovers this ultimate goal, true joy and passion cannot be experienced and liberated. It seems like a New Age Combo - but Passion, Peace, True Joy and Being Alive seems to be indispensable without one other.
The easiest way to discover our true purpose in Life is first of all to ask ourselves - what are the things and activities which fire us up, makes us forget everything else when we are in it. It must be something in which we lose track of time and space when we are in it. Because we were so engrossed with it, while we were doing this thing, we involve all Body, Heart and Spirit simultaneously. And there is no room for fear, insecurity, ego and all other artificial road blocks created by our Mind.
It could be reading, dancing, singing, writing, photography, designing, teaching, and so on, the list is probably endless. And for some people it need not be only one; it could be a two or three or more.
When we know that this is “it”, the next step would be to think of ways to engage in this activity, while generating value add for the greater good of Mankind. Always think for the “Greater Good” of everybody, in all Integrity, Honesty and Authenticity, and act according to our Heart.
We have come to a New Age where callings to the Heart are getting louder. To achieve a Quantum Leap in Global Consciousness soon enough, the voices are getting louder each day. We have acted upon the wishes of our Mind to bring the world to current circumstances; what got us here won’t get us there.
Contrary to what most people feared about, acting according to our Heart is not as disastrous as it seems. In fact, I think that listening to the Mind has a higher risk of damaging consequences than to the Heart.
What does your Heart call out to you? The voice has always been there; in fact, your True Master lies inside of you. What you have been searching so frantically outside to complete you, can all be found within you. Is that beautiful or beautiful?!
How you spend the first and last waking 10 min of the day, is more important than anything else.
Begin each day, with a silent conversation with yourself. Before you rush to get out of bed, or better still the moment you realize you are awake and before you open your eyes or move, ask yourself silently “Who Are You?”, and then wait for the answer. When you are more used to it, you may also proceed to “Why Are You Here and What Do You Bring…?”
The answer, I promise, will come. Maybe not immediately, some take days, some take months or years. But I assure that if you listen hard enough, you will know.
And when your Heart is aligned with your Spirit and Body for the Greatest Good of Mankind, you will be looking at an awesome time of your life - you are a truly Dynamic, Liberated, Alive and Passionate individual!
Cheers to Your Passion and Divinity
