My Raw Transformations
4:42 am - September 11, 2008 | Posted By Linda in Raw Food TestimonialsWhenever people mistake me for a college student, or pay compliments on my skin, it gives me immense motivation. Gratitude wells up in me every time I looked at my past photos, and it is absolutely unimaginable to go Un-Raw!
Before Raw Feb 2006 - You can tell that age is catching up, as with most ladies after 25..

Before Raw Mar 2006 - Age is definitely showing, despite regular facial and spa treatments…

And then here comes the changes…
1 Year Raw Sep 2007 - Before a Mountainous Hike

1 Year Raw Sep 2007 - After the hike, a raw meal, and then ready for another climb!

2 Years Raw May 2008 - Better than Botox and liposuction!

2 and 1/2 Years Raw - Fresh out of bed, no make-up and not even moisturizer, people mistook me for a college student!

2 and 1/2 Years Raw - Getting Younger and Younger!

3 and 1/2 Years Raw - The sky’s the limit!

“The Never-Ending Story of Youth!”

Now can you see why I said its unimaginable to be “Un-Raw”? The best part is - its just so simple
Just like me, you can have soft fresh skin, abundant energy and reverse aging by the day. Even if you are motivated enough to take 1 raw meal today, you are already well on your way!
If you are inspired or encouraged by what you saw above, do post a comment below or drop me a short mail to tell me about it.

Hi Linda,
Nice to see the transformation in your life. I’m glad to bite your way through the adversities along the way. It encourages me to want to try raw food(At least one meal per day to start with).
However, i’m doing sales and always outside running about all day.
Possible to advise me on how to eat raw while i’m on the run in my daily routine?
Thanks for reading.
Hold on to your beliefs and the light will appear before you.

Dear Linda,
I searched google for raw food in Asia, and found your wonderful, wonderful site, and I am so happy and excited to have found you! I am an avid follower of just-turned-raw-foodist Stevepavlina.com and he inspired me to start a raw food diet. But guess what, I am a Malaysian!
I thought I have lost hope for any guidance locally, except for 1 or two books from Kino or Borders.. and of course the internet (of which the recipes’ ingredients are not available here).
You really inspire me, and thank you so much for sharing. Keep writing, and I hope I can meet you one day in Spore to learn from you.

Hi Linda,
I’ve read about raw food diet two years ago and am interested to try it. Now I’m presently have one raw food meal a week. Meaning only Wednesday lunch I’ll have fruits for lunch but I guess that’s not enough. I’m very inspired by your story and your determination to learn and switch to a full raw food lifestyle. I’m a vegetarian so I guess it should not be that difficult but now thinking of how to change to a raw food diet. You really look much younger. What a motivation! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Linda!
Reading your articles is so inspirational to me!! Not only it helps me to become more motivated to incorporate more raw food in my diet but it also makes me beleive that if I really want to ( and I do) I can become raw, and it doesn’t have to be that hard. You make me feel there is a way and it can be possible and simple. I am at the point when I still know I have a lot to learn and I have a long way to go, but I already have an everyday habit of eating raw vegetables, fresh fruit, smoothies and raw nuts and seeds, besides superfoods ( maca, gojis, acai, hemp seeds..). I still only do a 50-70% raw food of a daily and I don’t even have a dehydrator or a good blender, but I barely drink anymore ( only an occasionaly glass of wine) and I quit caffeine and many cravings. I still think that I eat sometimes when I am not hungry, just bored or anxious but I am working on it. I would like to continue in this path but I am aware that I need support, constant encourage, learning and sharing. I live in Chicago now and my roomate and I share this passion for healthy foods, I also find support in the restaurants, meetup groups, sources (books, web) and health food stores. I will be moving back to Spain ( Madrid) this summer and I am a little worried about the change, not finding the support, information, resources and strength and give up. Although there are a lot of markets, I know many of the superfoods that I consume I will not be able to find, I haven’t found any website, literature, group of people or anything related in Spain, as I think people don’t know about it. I am also worried about the fact about many intolreant, judgemental people that won’t understand and criticise or get offended by it. I definitely know it will be my own weakness what will make me not succeed but I am aware of my own people and finding within the culture not much tolerance or respect or understanding for anything that it is different from what people know. If I had been doing it for a long time I would feel more security and self-assurance, but I just started this journey and I can’t help but worry a little when I look into changes in the future.
Thanks for being an example.

Hi Linda,
My husband is overweight and gets hungry easily if it is a light meal. He ends up snacking on junk food if not hungry.
I would like to start the raw diet with once a week and see how it goes. He has problem with gout which usuallly attack if he diets.
Can you share your opinion on the raw diet cookbook asian version.
Thanks again,
Kathie

Hi Linda, I live on Guam, and have been mostly raw, going on two years now. I can relate to your story, because people do find it strange…but when they do notice a change, they start to take notice (”you’ve got to be change you wish to see in the world”). Anyhow, finding a support group locally has been a challenge. Some friends of mine and I hold a vibrant living event in which we feature mostly raw (80 to 90 percent). I believe the movement is starting to take root…people are starting to re-member how we use to eat. When do you hold your classes? I’ve been to singapore once…beautiful country.

Linda,
you are my Singaporean hero!
I wish I found out about your site when I was in Singapore. I would have loved to meet you and attend the classes you have.
I have been doing raw for only about a month or so now but relax a little during social events with friends. Doing it mainly to take charge of my own health (I had cancer) and I live in Tokyo so that’s even harder!
I needed to buy many things online because lots of nuts, seeds, and even organic ingredients are hard to find here.
Kale? the closest thing we have here is a powder.
I am so excited about your asian raw ‘cookbook’.
I will get that as a present for myself next month. Looking forward to it.
Are most of the ingredients easily available ?
LOVE your site and what you’re doing in singapore. You rock!!

Linda, wow, you really amazed me. I had been trying to go raw and i understand how tough it is to do it in singapore. Feeling all alone and being social outcast. But i remembered i never felt better and bursting with energy. But with the pregnancy, to please my family, no choice, once again i succumb to the temptations of cooked food. I put on alot of weight and feeling exhausted all the time. I have no energy for my kid. I know i should switch back to raw but finding it really hard. Thank God, i found your website and know that i’m not alone. Hopefully this inspire me to switch back to raw again. Thanks for sharing your raw journey!

Is there any raw food restaurant in Singapore? Do you cook your raw dishes or you try to eat very simple - just fruits, veggies and nuts as it is? Great photos!

Linda, thank you! Thank you for sharing your own raw journey in pictures - Wow, you are glowing and look absolutely beautiful. What an inspiration!!! I’ve been eating more raw in the past 5 months, and experiencing so much more energy, and my skin and hair have never looked better
For those people trying out a raw diet and lifestyle, if you’re experiencing symptoms like gas and bloatedness, my advice is: Don’t give up! Try incorporating more raw smoothies and raw soups instead to your daily meals. Blending has really helped to give my body (digestive system) time to adjust to increasingly more raw solids, and now I am about 90% raw with no problems. And I feel fabulous!!

Hi Linda,
Am so glad I stumbled on your wondeful site. I was introduced to eating raw last year and gave it a try for 4-6 weeks. The results were amazing even in that short time-frame, but I struggled to maintain it for 2 reasons - because of my very social expat lifestyle (ie - loads of parties!) and limited resources in Singapore.
I’m determined now to give it another go and hopefully this time get the opportunity to chat with other like-minded people with whom I can share my experiences.
Cheers, Jordana.

Hi Linda, its so great to read about how you’ve managed to get on the raw wagon and stay on for so long! I live in Brunei where most of our food is fried, shallow fried or deep fried- and most of it is processed too! Buying organic is very expensive and there isnt a whole lot of choice so my raw journey hasnt gotten past green smoothies and almond milk smoothies so far!
My goal is to go vegetarian…vegan…. and then raw! But even trying to go vegetarian has been a challenge here. Ive settled for having 3-4 vegetarian days a week but i start everyday with a raw smoothie.
Any advice?
