Smile, Shrug & Say “Let’s Go!”

Just 10 min after we started the car, it began to rain. It was our earliest outdoor workshops together and we were transporting the yoga mats down to the event venue.

Jolyn and I was in the car, engrossed in our discussion about workshop logistics, when suddenly a car behind crashed right into us. Bang! Our heads were slammed against the car seats and I felt as if my heart flew out 1 metre ahead of me.

We got off and stared with disbelief at our boot – the cover flew open, and it could not close because the metal was all bent out of shape. After taking pictures and settling the insurance claims, Jolyn looked at me, smiled and said “Ok let’s go ahead.”

So there we were, 2 gals on the road with a heap of yoga mats and a car with a broken boot. What did we do? Steer the car to the side, we used one of the yoga mat strings to tie the boot cover down, enough to not block the rear mirror so that we can proceed to our event venue.

The Law of Reinforcement - What is Real?

It was the last night of our training in India; and miraculously enough, it fell on a full moon. We woke naturally at 3.45am to a room flooded with beautiful moonlight. The round moon was in full view where we are lying – if it’s not for the glass frames and curtains, it would seem as if we are sleeping right under the moon itself.

While waiting to board the plane at the airport, Jolyn (my team mate whom has become somebody very dear & precious to me now) sparked a discussion that was to keep me awake for a good many nights.

We walk into a MRT train in Singapore, how many people can we really establish eye contact and hold the gaze? We go into a lift; people stare at the buttons, look at their shoe, or start observing an invisible insect on the wall. If somebody’s gaze happens to meet ours, they quickly shift their focus. Some, when we smile at them, look nervous, as if something bad is going to happen.

Tears are God’s gift to Humans for Healing. If everyone is not afraid to cry a little more, we can laugh much more, and there can be less violence/war.

Nuclear Fallout Action Plan

2 days ago, while I was making my way out in the evening to meet friends, I received 2 BBC newsflash messages about the Nuclear Fallout in Tokyo. The message cautioned people to stay indoors, and if it rains – for 24 hours after the rain, to protect against the radiation.

What I eat on a Typical Day - Aug 2010

6:06 am - February 22, 2011 | Posted By Linda in Linda's Daily Stuff | No Comments

Interestingly, the types and quantities of living foods I eat everyday has somewhat evolved over the past few years. There is one almost confirmed observation made from people on Green Smoothies, including myself - and that is our overall consumption of food reduces on days on which we are not physically active.

Because I lead a mostly active lifestyle, I actually experienced a substantial increase in food intake. Living foods as we all know, are dense in nutrients, but low on calories and huge in bulk! So in order to meet daily caloric requirements, I take in more food volume now.
