A friend took me by surprise last night, a pleasant one, when he called to check in with me. We had a good conversation, catching up on each other’s week, sharing about our triumphs, challenges, lessons & joy.
He mentioned something, which stuck a cord within me – that his sister and fiancée expressed great interest in becoming Raw Foods Teachers. However, both of them are in the financial industry, and they do not see the future of Raw Foods as highly lucrative & promising.
5 years ago I experienced exactly the same dilemma. On one hand I have a comfortable banking career; on the other a dream to open an Organic Raw Gourmet Restaurant.
I guessed in my case it was different because the Universe sort of chose for me when I fell really ill, and I saw that money has no real value unless it brings happiness or alleviate suffering.
Because I was in the forefront of the financial industry, I saw how the huge guys crashed & turn to dust over night. One night while watching CNN, and the shocking news about fund houses collapsing, bonds devaluing to nothing, stock portfolios melt like butter, millions of consumer assets disintegrating into nothing, I muttered to myself:
“Gosh; everything, absolutely everything I was taught in University – all the bond valuation, stock valuation models, cash flow forecast etc that I stayed up all night to memorize, all comes to nothing.”
Some of us may have guessed that the repeated re-printing of money means that the real value of money is not what it seems today. After Bretton Woods, our paper money is over inflated. The pieces of paper we are using now, all over the world, are but an agreement – collective agreement by all humans. It is worth a lot less.
All across the planet, gold & land prices continue to rise. As our world shakes & re-organizes itself to truly reflect value (we have seen one in the financial industry already), land will be the most valuable resource remaining. Well, perhaps not only plain land – but also truly organic, fertile, crop producing land from which we harvest edible foods.
When it all boils down to the essence of life, it is food, not bonds nor paper money. But real organic health giving food that give life to all organisms – from insects to animals to humans.
There have been some massive transfers of wealth – one that is still fresh is the collapse of the financial industry. Intrinsically, the value of global financial investments is way below what they are trading for. When the collapse happened, it was simply the physical dimension adjusting to correctly reflect the true intrinsic value.
Massive wealth transfers will continue to occur, in more industries. Where is the wealth going to shift?
We shall see substantial rises in the industries like alternative energies, holistic wellness, traditional medicines, permaculture & organic farming. Natural healers, empowerment coaches, massage therapists, yoga teachers, and yes –raw/health food teachers & chefs! And also, other industries that directly, or discreetly spread more love & compassion in this world. These will be high demand, high value professions.
In fact, even right now, these people – the yoga teachers massage therapists & life development coaches, holistic wellness therapists; they are all healers in a deep way. The positive impact that they deliver is grossly underestimated, undervalued. Why isn’t they paid as much, if not more then a private banker, or stockbroker, when the result is immediate pain relief/healing?
Soon, the physical dimension will once again adjust to correctly reflect true intrinsic value derived from these healers’ work.
The next wave of millionaires shall come from businesses that truly contribute to Mother Earth’s, and Mankind’s future. Smart affluent investors are switching their focus from oil refining to windmill generators, pills to TCM, surgery equipment to Chi-gong, casinos to education, hamburgers to green smoothies, steak restaurants to raw gourmet restaurants. These are amongst those who keep their wealth.
If we are with a company or own a business that is part of this global shift towards higher consciousness, reach back & give ourself a huge pat. Chances are that we already are enjoying abundance & fulfillment; even if not yet, hang in there because it won’t be too long.
And for those who are dreaming, contemplating & weighing the odds; maybe we don’t believe because we cannot see it yet; but the fact of the matter is that, we will only see it when we believe in it.
The shift is happening, its for real, & it’s here to stay. There is some discomfort in the process of course, while we break down & catabolise; but with some perseverance & determination, the shift brings transformations of consciousness, alleviated wellness, satisfaction, love & joy.
And definitely – well lived lives without regrets!
