“What is this wonderful food the body is taking in right now! The energy is so lifting, and expansive, the feeling is so light and refreshing. The body has so much more energy than normal.” These were the words that Swamiji said when he tasted a Green Smoothie for the first time in his life.
Next morning when Swamiji arrived at the Yoga School, the first thing he said was “What time you make the ‘shake’ today?”
Ingredients we managed to get from markets in India
Well we must say that it was quite a challenge in the first 2 days – no blender, no greens, we were drinking cups after cups of Pure Synergy (Green Superfood), eating tons of fruit & chomping vegetables down till our mouths were sore and still feel cravings.
However by the 3rd day, we had our own blender in the School, and we start making Green Smoothies with Grapes, Bananas, Coriander & Mint bought from road side stalls!
We were also blessed to receive some fresh organic herbs from the School Director – a wonderful lady who goes out of her way to make every Yoga student feel at home. She could also feel the “energy boost” from drinking the Green Smoothies, and is starting to make for her family.
By the first weekend, we got pretty much everyone who came to the Yoga School onto fruits, Green Smoothies & Raw Cacao Crisps!
Regardless of Race, Culture or Religion, our human body is a marvelous machine, designed to tell what is good for it!
